About Tour

The Kedarnath Yatra (3 Nights / 4 Days) by Rajputana Holidays is a deeply spiritual journey that takes devotees to the sacred abode of Lord Shiva, nestled in the majestic Garhwal Himalayas. The pilgrimage begins from Delhi, where travelers may explore renowned spiritual and cultural landmarks such as Akshardham Temple, Lotus Temple, and India Gate, before proceeding towards Haridwar.

On arrival in Haridwar, pilgrims witness the soul-enriching Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri, a divine ritual that beautifully sets the spiritual tone for the yatra. The journey then continues through the sacred towns of Rishikesh, Devprayag—the holy confluence of the Bhagirathi and Alaknanda rivers—and Rudraprayag, before reaching Guptkashi. Here, devotees can visit the revered Vishwanath Temple and the sacred Ardh Narishwar Temple.

From Guptkashi, the pilgrimage moves towards Gaurikund, the base point for the 16 km trek to Kedarnath. Pilgrims may choose to undertake this sacred trek on foot or opt for a helicopter ride arranged by Rajputana Holidays for a more comfortable and time-saving experience. Upon reaching Kedarnath Temple, devotees are immersed in the divine aura of one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, set against the breathtaking backdrop of snow-clad Himalayan peaks.

An overnight stay near Kedarnath Temple allows pilgrims to attend the peaceful morning aarti, a profoundly spiritual experience. On the return journey, travelers visit the sacred Triyuginarayan Temple, believed to be the celestial wedding site of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. The final leg of the tour takes devotees back to Rishikesh, where they explore Ram Jhula, Laxman Jhula, and Triveni Ghat, before returning to Delhi.

This short yet powerful pilgrimage curated by Rajputana Holidays is ideal for devotees seeking divine blessings, spiritual awakening, and an unforgettable Himalayan experience within a limited timeframe.

Rajputana Holidays Recommendation:

  • Best Time to Visit: Plan your Kedarnath Yatra with Rajputana Holidays between May to June and September to October, when the weather is pleasant, skies are clear, and routes are easily accessible.

  • Delhi Excursion: Arrive early in Delhi to explore sacred and iconic landmarks such as Akshardham Temple, Lotus Temple, and India Gate before commencing your spiritual journey.

  • Trek vs. Helicopter: If you choose the traditional trek, start early and carry essentials like walking sticks, energy bars, and sufficient water. For added comfort, Rajputana Holidays can assist with helicopter bookings—advance reservations are highly recommended.

  • Packing Essentials: Pack warm clothing, sturdy trekking shoes, raincoats, thermals, and a basic first-aid kit, as temperatures in Kedarnath can drop due to its high altitude.

  • Health & Fitness: Prepare your body with light trekking, yoga, and breathing exercises prior to the journey to improve stamina and acclimatization.

  • Stay Options: Depending on availability and comfort preferences, choose from GMVN guesthouses, ashrams, or hotels arranged by Rajputana Holidays.

  • Local Experiences: Don’t miss a visit to the sacred Triyuginarayan Temple and spend time soaking in the peaceful, spiritual atmosphere of Kedarnath.

  • Travel Arrangements: Travel with trusted and experienced drivers arranged by Rajputana Holidays to ensure a safe and comfortable ride through the scenic Himalayan roads.

  • Guided Tour: Opt for an experienced guide to gain deeper insights into the mythological and historical significance of Kedarnath and its surrounding sacred sites.

Join Rajputana Holidays for a seamless, comfortable, and spiritually fulfilling Kedarnath Yatra—where devotion, nature, and adventure come together in the heart of the Himalayas.

Important Information About Your Char Dham Yatra

  • The Char Dham Yatra is a deeply spiritual pilgrimage and not a luxury tour. Due to the remote Himalayan locations, high altitude, and limited infrastructure, certain challenges are part of the journey. Rajputana Holidays ensures transparent communication and proper guidance so that pilgrims are well-prepared, comfortable, and spiritually focused throughout the yatra.
  • We encourage all travelers to travel with flexibility, patience, and devotion to make this sacred journey a truly meaningful experience.

Accommodation & Facilities

Kedarnath Top Stay

Staying at Kedarnath Top is inherently challenging due to its high altitude (approx. 3,583 meters) and a limited operational window of about six months each year.

  • Accommodation conditions can be basic; rooms may feel damp or may not meet usual cleanliness standards, even at higher tariffs ranging between ₹10,000–₹15,000 per room.
  • Due to limited space, per-bed, per-person sharing arrangements are followed. Personal roommate preferences cannot be accommodated.
  • Despite best efforts by Rajputana Holidays, facilities at this altitude are difficult to maintain because of weather and logistical constraints.

Hotel Availability

  • Hotel allocation may be within or outside city limits, depending on real-time availability and operational feasibility.

  • Accommodation charges are subject to availability, and last-minute changes may occur due to high demand or government regulations.

Travel Challenges You Should Expect

  • The trek to Kedarnath spans approximately 18–20 km, and all essential supplies reach the shrine via the same route.
  • During peak season, traffic delays of 10–15 hours in a single day are common.
  • Natural factors such as landslides, adverse weather, and government-imposed restrictions may impact travel schedules.
  • Helicopter services are entirely weather-dependent and may face delays or cancellations.
  • Government vehicles are mandatory from Sonprayag to Gaurikund; larger private vehicles are not permitted beyond Sonprayag, and waiting times may apply.

Packing & Preparation Tips

Travel light, as you may need to carry your luggage during parts of the journey. We recommend packing essentials only:

  • Warm clothing, comfortable trekking shoes, rainwear
  • Snacks, refillable water bottles, and personal medications
  • Sufficient cash, as ATMs are limited and many services prefer cash payments

Health & Safety

  • This pilgrimage is physically demanding. Ensure you are medically fit and consult a doctor if required.
  • Stay hydrated, eat light, and carry necessary medicines to prevent altitude-related issues.

Travel Insurance

  • Rajputana Holidays does not provide travel insurance. We strongly recommend purchasing third-party travel insurance for added safety and peace of mind.

Patience & Cooperation

This is a Yatra, not a luxury tour. While Rajputana Holidays makes every effort to manage logistics smoothly, limited infrastructure and high pilgrim volumes can lead to unavoidable inconveniences.

  • Events such as landslides, heavy traffic, or extreme weather are beyond human control. We sincerely request your patience and cooperation throughout the journey.

Special Note on Kedarnath Top Stay

Kedarnath Top accommodations are strictly non-luxurious and may not meet standard hotel expectations. Even at premium prices, pilgrims may experience:

  • Damp or basic rooms

  • Limited amenities

  • Heavy crowds and shared facilities

Despite these challenges, the spiritual experience of witnessing the holy shrine is deeply transformative and rewarding.

Final Points to Remember

  • Char Dham Yatra registration is mandatory.
  • Long queues for darshan and compulsory government checks (RTO, cab changes) are integral to the journey.
  • Past experiences indicate frequent traffic delays and sudden weather changes—patience is essential.
  • The Rajputana Holidays team remains committed to minimizing difficulties and supporting you throughout the pilgrimage.

Gratitude & Final Words

We at Rajputana Holidays are honored to assist you on this sacred journey. While certain discomforts are unavoidable due to terrain and conditions, we assure you of our sincere efforts, transparent communication, and dedicated support. Thank you for your trust, cooperation, and understanding.
