About Tour

Rajputana Holidays offers a spiritually fulfilling Do Dham Yatra (5 Nights / 6 Days), ideal for devotees seeking blessings at Kedarnath and Badrinath. The journey starts from Haridwar, where pilgrims can visit important spiritual landmarks to attend the sacred Ganga Aarti.

From Haridwar, the tour proceeds to Guptkashi, known for its ancient temples and calm surroundings. The journey then continues to Gaurikund, the starting point of the Kedarnath trek. Pilgrims may trek or opt for helicopter services to reach Kedarnath and stay overnight near the temple, allowing for an early and peaceful darshan.

After Kedarnath, the yatra moves towards Badrinath, the holy seat of Lord Vishnu. Pilgrims can take a ritual bath in Tapt Kund and explore Mana Village along with nearby sacred sites. The journey concludes with a scenic return via Joshimath, Rishikesh, and finally Delhi.

This tour is a perfect blend of devotion, nature, and Himalayan adventure.

FAQs

The Do Dham Yatra is a sacred pilgrimage that includes visits to Kedarnath and Badrinath, two of the most important Hindu temples located in Uttarakhand. This yatra is undertaken by devotees seeking spiritual peace and blessings.

The journey usually starts from Haridwar. From there, you travel by road to Guptkashi, then proceed to Kedarnath, followed by a visit to Badrinath, and later continue to Rishikesh before returning.

Kedarnath can be reached by a 16 km trek from Gaurikund. Pilgrims who are unable to trek can choose helicopter, pony, or palki services.

The best time to undertake the Do Dham Yatra is from May to June and September to October, when the weather is pleasant and travel conditions are better. The temples usually open between April/May and close around November, depending on weather conditions.

The trek from Gaurikund to Kedarnath is moderate to difficult due to the high altitude and long walking distance. Pilgrims who are not physically fit or who find trekking difficult can opt for palki, pony, or helicopter services.

Both Kedarnath and Badrinath offer a range of accommodation options, including government guesthouses (GMVN), dharamshalas, budget hotels, and tented stays near the temples. Since availability is limited during peak season, advance booking is highly recommended.

You should carry warm clothing, comfortable trekking shoes, raincoats or ponchos, valid ID proof, basic medicines, a flashlight or torch, energy snacks, and power banks, as electricity and charging points may be limited.

Yes, helicopter services are available from Phata, Guptkashi, and Sirsi to Kedarnath. These services operate based on weather conditions, and advance booking is required due to high demand.

Only pure vegetarian food is served during the yatra. Non-vegetarian food and alcohol are strictly prohibited in these holy areas to maintain their spiritual sanctity.

Yes, senior citizens can undertake the yatra. However, pilgrims above 60 years of age or those with medical conditions are advised to consult a doctor before traveling. It is also recommended that they consider helicopter or palki services instead of trekking.
