About Tour
Pilgrims from all over India undertake the Char Dham Yatra as it holds great religious importance and is believed to help attain spiritual peace and liberation from the cycle of rebirth. This sacred journey allows devotees to visit four of the most revered Hindu temples located in the majestic Himalayas.
With Rajputana Holidays, this 9 Nights / 10 Days Char Dham Yatra takes pilgrims to the holy shrines of Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath, all nestled in the serene Himalayan ranges.
The journey begins after witnessing the divine Ganga Aarti at Har Ki Pauri in Haridwar, followed by travel to the first dham, Yamunotri. Dedicated to Goddess Yamuna, the temple is reached through a scenic and spiritually uplifting route, where devotees can take a holy dip in the sacred waters.
The next destination is Gangotri, revered as the origin of the River Ganga. Pilgrims can perform sacred rituals and take a holy bath near Bhagirath Shila, a site of great religious importance.
Kedarnath, one of the twelve Jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva, is the most spiritually intense part of the yatra. Situated at high altitude, the temple can be reached either by trekking or helicopter service, offering a deeply devotional and unforgettable experience.
The final dham, Badrinath, is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and marks the completion of this sacred pilgrimage. Here, pilgrims can take a holy dip at Tapt Kund and admire the divine surroundings of Neelkanth Peak, adding peace and fulfillment to the journey.
During the yatra, travelers also pass through Rishikesh, witness the holy river confluence at Devprayag, and visit sacred locations such as Rudranath and Vasuki Tal.
This spiritual journey with Rajputana Holidays beautifully combines devotion, breathtaking natural landscapes, and inner awakening, leaving pilgrims with lifelong memories and divine blessings.
Rajputana Holidays Recommendation:
With Rajputana Holidays, embark on a spiritually enriching Char Dham Yatra that combines thoughtful planning, comfortable arrangements, and deep devotion for a truly fulfilling pilgrimage experience.

Daily breakfast and dinner are provided as per the number of nights included in your itinerary.
Meal plans can be customized—please connect with our destination expert for any specific requirements.
No meals are provided at Kedarnath Top (near the temple stay) due to limited availability at high altitude locations.
Kedarnath Top Stay: Accommodation near Kedarnath Temple is confirmed prior to payment confirmation and subject to availability. Guests will be informed in advance before finalizing the booking.
Alternate Stay Adjustment: In case a night stay at Kedarnath Top is not available, ₹1,500 per person will be deducted from the total package cost, and one night’s stay will be excluded from the itinerary.
Mandatory Registration: Char Dham Yatra registration is compulsory for all pilgrims. Guests must complete the registration process before or during the journey as per government guidelines.
Trip Card & Permit Process: At Haridwar or Rishikesh, a brief stop is required for cab or bus pass verification to generate your official trip card. This is a standard procedure and may take some time; we kindly request your patience during this process.
The Char Dham Yatra is a deeply spiritual pilgrimage rather than a luxury tour. Due to high-altitude terrain, remote locations, and limited infrastructure, certain challenges may arise. Rajputana Holidays ensures all essential arrangements are made with care, but we request travelers to remain flexible and prepared for mountain travel conditions.
Kedarnath Top Stay
Staying near Kedarnath is a unique and spiritually rewarding experience, but it comes with certain challenges due to the temple’s high altitude (approximately 3,583 meters) and limited operational season of nearly six months a year.
Hotel Availability
Hotel accommodations may be located within or outside city limits, depending on real-time availability.
Room allotments and hotel categories are subject to change due to high demand, weather conditions, or operational constraints, especially during peak pilgrimage season.
Travel Challenges You Should Expect
The trek to Kedarnath ranges between 18–20 kilometers, and all supplies—including food and essentials—are transported via the same route.
Traffic delays of 10–15 hours in a single day are common during peak season.
Natural factors such as landslides, rainfall, snow, and government regulations can affect travel schedules without prior notice.
Helicopter services are entirely weather-dependent and may face last-minute delays or cancellations.
Government-operated local taxis from Sonprayag to Gaurikund are mandatory. Private or larger vehicles are not permitted beyond Sonprayag, and waiting times may apply.
Packing & Preparation Tips
Warm clothing, rainwear, and sturdy trekking shoes
Light snacks, refillable water bottles, and personal medications
Sufficient cash, as ATMs are limited and many services operate on cash-only basis
Meals & Schedule Changes
Due to early departures, roadblocks, or unforeseen delays, meals (breakfast or dinner) may occasionally be missed.
No refunds will be applicable for missed meals under such circumstances.
Meal availability depends on operational eateries along the route and weather conditions.
Health & Safety
The Char Dham Yatra is physically demanding. Pilgrims should ensure they are medically fit before undertaking the journey.
Elderly travelers or those with health conditions are advised to consult a doctor prior to travel.
Stay hydrated, consume light meals, and carry medications to prevent altitude sickness.
Travel Insurance
Rajputana Holidays does not provide travel insurance.
Guests are strongly advised to arrange third-party travel insurance for additional medical and travel security.
Patience & Cooperation
This is a religious Yatra, not a leisure holiday. While Rajputana Holidays makes every possible effort to ensure comfort and safety, limited infrastructure and mountain conditions may cause inconvenience.
Events such as landslides, heavy traffic, extreme weather, or government restrictions are beyond human control.
We kindly request pilgrims to cooperate and remain patient throughout the journey.
Special Note on Kedarnath Top Stay
Kedarnath Top stays are not luxury accommodations. Despite premium pricing, you may experience:
Damp or minimally maintained rooms
Limited amenities
Heavy crowds and shared facilities
However, the divine experience of visiting the sacred shrine far outweighs these temporary discomforts.
Final Points to Remember
Char Dham Yatra registration is mandatory for all pilgrims.
Long darshan queues, security checks, and transport regulations are integral parts of the journey.
Past experiences indicate that delays due to traffic and weather are common—mental preparedness is essential.
Gratitude & Final Words
At Rajputana Holidays, our team is committed to offering the best possible arrangements within the natural and logistical limitations of the Char Dham Yatra. We sincerely thank you for your cooperation, patience, and trust, and we look forward to being part of your spiritually transformative journey.
